So I know in my last post I said that I was going in on Tuesday for the second beta. Well make that today. When the nurse called with the first beta result on Saturday she said I could come back for the second on Monday or Tuesday. Since I have today off for the MLK holiday, I figured I would go in on Tuesday since the RE is within walking distance of my work. But yesterday Jeramy and I sat around making up all sorts of excuses as to why I should waste the gas and drive into Seattle today. So there you have it.
In any case the news is good as the second beta came in at 670. I ran the numbers online to see how they stacked up and got the following chart. I'm running a little above singleton levels, but I'm 99% sure there is just one in there as only 1 follicle was within range when they gave me the trigger shot. If memory serves, the next nearest was around 13mm or so.
Next up is more waiting. I scheduled the ultrasound for February 12th. I'll be 7 weeks by then and hopefully we'll see a heartbeat then. I have no idea how I am going to get through the next 3 weeks. But I think it will involve much knitting and a ban on google searches. Seriously...nothing good ever comes out of Dr. Google.

Great second number!!!
My nurse told me not to drive myself crazy trying to predict multiples based on my beta levels. And while that didn't stop me from googling like crazy, just passing it along
Congrats again!
Yay!!! sounds great :)
CONGRATULATIONS!! I kept thinking to check on you but never when I was near the computer. Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!!!
Very cool, congrats!
That's an amazing beta, especially for where you are at DPO-wise. I wouldn't count out twins, but it is good that you only have the expectation of one. I had more than a moment of disappointment when we only had one after our higher than average betas.
What I am so impressed by is your ability to wait until the SEVENTH week for the ultrasound. My goodness, you can't be called impatient. I could BARELY wait for six weeks! You are a strong woman.
And I am SO happy for you!
Congrats again!!! I was checking for an updated post all day yesterday!! I must get a life:) tee hee
I bet you get lots of knitting projects done. Maybe you should go get some more knitting porn to keep you occupied until week 7!!
Can you imagine if it's twins?? How cool would that be!:)
((Hugs))
Jen, that is so awesome. Congratulations. Can't wait to hear how things progress.
How weird my 3rd pregnancy will be (when I finally get there).
My first u/s w/ a normal OB is never until 20 weeks. Normal is 1 u/s per pregnancy - none of this early stuff!
When I was with RE#1 and got my BFP, they wanted to make an appointment with me and I said "Oh no, my hpt is +, that's all I need" and I made an appoinment w/ my OB for 8 weeks, where, I may add, is only an intake. Nothing babywise is done until 10weeks when they try with the doppler.
I am SO glad it happened that way. I had no worries about doublnig betas, early hb checks, nothing. I was simply pregnant and enjoyed it.
My RE didn't really give me a choice about waiting until 7 weeks for the u/s. I'm not going to try to move it up though, because if I had a 6 week and did not see a heart beat I'd probably worry the whole entire week until the next u/s even if measurements were on target. So as tough as it is I think I'm going to try and wait it out. Plus as Nancy pointed out sometimes the more information you have the harder it is to enjoy this time.
This is such wonderful news! I'm so happy for you guys. I'm glad you're blocking out any of those pesky negative thoughts.
Sweetie...that is a wonderful number! Congrats again!
Yay!! I came to your blog today to see if you had gone yet! It will be a long wait until Feb 12, but you can do it. Just enjoy being preggers! I guess you won't be having beers at our Super Bowl party, huh? Jeramy now has a permanent DD!
OMG Congratulations!! I can't believe I missed this!! Those are some awesome numbers!!
Congratulations! That is fantastic news.
