Two Things I Adore

Late February is my favorite time of year when it comes to treats for 2 reasons...

AND

Some people buy those exorbitantly priced cookies because they can't resist those cute little Girl Scouts. Not me. Honestly I find the Hannah Montana crowd a bit irritating with their high pitched voices and shrill giggles. No what gets me is those Samoa cookies. You know...the ones with the sugary trifecta of chocolate, caramel and coconut? Yum. And the peanut butter patties come in a close second given my love of the PB/chocolate combo.

Screw those nasty, tasteless Peeps. Cadbury Cream Eggs with their gooey, sugary center are my favorite Easter treat. As with all holiday related items they seem to come out earlier and earlier each year, but I'm not complaining even if it means more damage to my waist line. Now they have the mini-cream eggs too, but I don't like those quite as well. I greatly prefer the higher cream to chocolate ratio that the full size provides.

Luckily my food aversions have not included these two treats. But then again maybe I'd be better off gorging myself on something else. I somehow doubt that chocolate and sugar are the ideal fuels for baby-growing.

I hate peeps, too-what a waste of calories.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Girls Scout Dosie-dos and Thin Mints. I also ordered some of their new lemon flavored cookies this year. Just what my bloated ass needs.

Cadbury cream eggs are one of the most delicious things imaginable. Must go to CVS and find some

Oh I hear you on the Samoas. I love those. You are right the tagalongs are a close second. I think they call the cookies different names in various parts of the country though. We were on vacation one year and they had our favorite cookies in the purple box but I think they called them something different.

Glad you are getting your sugar fix on with something so tasty.

I hear ya on those eggs... DH brought home a 4-pack for me from the grocery store on Sunday night, and they didn't see 10 am the next morning.

MMMMMMmmmmm. My sister (age 9) is both a Brownie and a Hannah Montana fan, so I have 3 boxes of Thin Mints and 1 box of Peanut Butter Patties coming my way sometime after Saturday. :)

I'm a Thin Mint, Peanut Butter Patty, Cadbury Cream Egg(fullsize) girl myself :)

Hi - I'm Jennifer (and my husband is Jason, but we call him J) and I found your blog on one of your ivillage posts. JenandJay caught my eye and then when I read that you are a knitter, I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm due 10/11 but haven't told many people yet, so I haven't broke the news on my blog either. Been too sick and exhausted to update it for quite some time, actually.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and second the candy thoughts :)

I love the day after Easter best for the fact I can buy Cadburry cream eggs at half price by the cart load.... *drool*

AND, i read that they changed the names of Samoas to "Caramel Delights" because it wasn't politically correct.

LAME!
