Happy to be Home

As Jeramy mentioned in the comments to the last message, we all got home on Saturday. I don't have much time (or energy) to post right now, so all I will say is that it has been quite the learning experience. As difficult as it has been at times, it is still completely worthwhile. While I knew it would be challenging, everybody is right that nothing can prepare you for parenthood and caring for a newborn.

Also, I couldn't have imagined how much I would love this little girl. It has been absolutely amazing to watch Jeramy with her too. He is a very active father, and I could never have done this without him. We are both sad that he must go back to work tomorrow, but luckily my wonderful mother-in-law is coming over tomorrow to help and my friend Jenny (who is on maternity leave awaiting the arrival of her first) will be here Wednesday.

I hope everything is going well for you all. I'm so behind on blog reading that I'm afraid to open Google Reader. I'm sure I'll get caught up eventually, but in the meantime I'm concentrating on taking care of Jillian and myself.

And of course here are a few more pics to tide you over...

I'm so happy you are both home and doing well. Those first few weeks were just BRUTAL for me, I wasn't sure we would all survive. But when we hit about 2-3 months, things got SOOO much easier and I actually started enjoying motherhood! Every day since then has just gotten more sweet. I hope to meet you guys at the LLL meeting. I'll be out of town in November, but I plan to be at the December one. Let me know if you want details, or if you'd like the email of the leader to have additional support with BFing.

You are so right...nothing prepares you for parenthood...especially caring for an infant. Regardless of all the book/classes, it's all about hand-on training...living in the moment and loving every minute of it!

I'm so glad you're doing great...definitely focus on caring for little Jillian and yourself right now...there will be little sleep for you over the next few weeks, so nap when baby naps and allow others to help you with the rest!

I remember wondering how I was going to survive after M went back to work. Everyday gets easier and I promise you that you will adjust to having no sleep. Pretty soon you will have a routine of sorts and you will feel like it's been forever since you were a parent.
Glad Jillian is doing better and thanks for the pictures. She is so cute!!

Real good to know you're home and all is okay with you and baby Jillian. Had me worried awhile, too, but I heard your Aunt Cheryl was there so maybe she helped calm your fears.
Seeing these newest pictures is amazing... she must have some personality already, judging by that last one of her looking wide-eyed and unlike a "newborn".
Wishing you a good adjustment period being a mom.
Not being pregnant anymore occur to you yet? heh-heh ;)

Don’t worry about reading everyone’s blog - you’re on Maternity Leave silly! Just read mine (cheesy grin) Just kidding.
But take care of your self.
Your daughter is so beautiful, I have to say, I love the pic of you holding her, you can see the love in your eyes. It warms my heart.
Congratulations again Mommy, and thanks for the pic's, you can show her off all you want =D
